I almost named this soap Inside Out, because of this super intriguing set of...well...holes that remained after cutting out "planet" shapes for Interstellar soap. As a soap artisan, I simply couldn't let go of something with so much POTENTIAL.
...And so I got Playful, imagining the possibilities. First I laid down some black soap (colored with activated charcoal) as a base for the confetti soap hole pattern to settle on.
After it set up, I added circles of color from another mosaic project, then filled in spaces with other solid colors. This soap required several steps to design and assemble, a sort of inverse of the process I did for this soap
While my attitude was playful, I did have to give some thought as to what colors might go along with the confetti soap base. Bright primaries and secondary colors fit the bill, plus add a childlike vibe.
This an eco-friendly soap - composed of repurposed elements from past projects, assembled intuitively into a fun, new creation.
A delight for the bath, especially for the part of us all that is ready to get playful again. A bright inspiration to #washyourdamnhands.
