Political Junkie Collection
Recent executive orders from the Trump administration calls for the indiscriminate ramp-up of logging over 100 MILLION acres of our forest and BLM lands - OUR public lands.
From the NRDC (Natural Resource Defense Council): "Under the pretense of enhancing national security, these policies seek to weaken environmental protections to supercharge timber harvest and benefit wealthy corporate interests."
In related news, I've just restocked Tree Hugger Soap, which recreates the planks cut from "beetle kill*" pine. The colors are curiously beautiful, with varying degrees of gray/blue striations among the golden/white hues of typical knotty pine. Tree hugger's subtlely gorgeous design features an herbaceous scent combination of cedarwood, rosemary, frankincense, and scotch pine-scented, bubbly natural soap.
